Chelsea Flower Show: The 5,000 Poppies Project

The **Chelsea Flower Show** is the largest of its kind in the world, held in London every spring. Beyond the avant-garde show gardens and the famous Floral Marquee, the 2016 show featured a deeply moving tribute to veterans of all world conflicts.

What began as a personal project by Lynn Berry and Margaret Knight to honor their fathers grew into a global phenomenon. An estimated **50,000 contributors** from around the world hand-crocheted nearly **300,000 poppies**, each one a unique handmade tribute.
